Our world is almost exclusively based on male-related data, in many areas of life the female perspective is missing. Although half of humanity is female and women* aren't a minority. My BA Thesis gives you insights on the Gender Data Gap, what it has to do with politics and why we urgently need more representation of women* everywhere.
*women refers to all those who understand themselves as women in terms of their gender identity and want to be perceived as such by others, regardless of their gender assigned at birth
3/4 of the seats in parliament worldwide are occupied by men. These objects underline how the stagecraft of political and economic power is created, performed, marketed, and maintained. Mainly by men.
Female heads of government make up only 7% of the world's leading politicians. There are currently 19 elected female heads of state and government (as of December 2020).
